So, who is, or what is Engle Automotive? Well, I'm glad you asked... Below you will find a history of the business. But don't hesitate to check out our website at; http://www.engleautomotive.com
Engle Automotive was originally founded in 1992 by Bryan Engle in Loveland, CO. As a young entrepreneur he did very well and quickly gained a loyal customer base. What surprised most people was the expertise in which he repaired vehicles, especially when they learned he was rather young, at the age of only 19.
Bryan had started in the professional automotive industry at age 15, simply working after school and weekends. In 1992 Bryan graduated from Larimer County Front Range community college with a degree in Automotive Repair Technology. After a little over a year of business, his business partner/friend was killed in an unfortunate fire. Bryan closed the business and began working as a technician for other repair facilities and Car Dealers.
Four years later in 1996 brothers Bryan and Mark Engle reopened Engle Automotive in Loveland, Colorado in a small 2 bay shop. Three years after reopening, Engle Automotive surged forward being Blessed with customers business success and moved to an expanded 4 bay location in August of 1999. Engle Automotive then expanded into 2 additional service bays within the existing building and continued moving in what felt like "fast forward".
In 2003, the "Engle Brothers" began looking for another expansion, but this time they wanted to "own the dirt". Brothers Mark and Bryan Engle purchased a 3-acre lot in an area in Loveland that looked promising. After a few years of hard work covering the business operating expenses and the land purchase payment, Mark took to convincing a bank for a massive loan needed to develop the land and build a brand-new repair facility. It was easy, the banks turned down Marks completed SBA loan package and business plan literally 12 times, but he refused to give in and won financial approval on the 13th attempt for SBA financing.
The project began late in the year of 2006 and was making great headway through the summer of 2007 when the financial/banking collapse now referred to as TARP, (that was when the banks stopped all financing for building projects, homes and other business ventures) looked as though the final checkmark for failure had just been issued. Unwilling to quit, the "Brothers" found a new challenge to surmount because the building was only 80% complete and none of the new equipment had been purchased. Even through the uphill challenge, the Lord continued to Bless the Engle Brothers and they managed to complete the building by "red-lining" the plans, selling almost everything they owned, draining their business and personal savings accounts, they managed to open and "furnish" it with only their existing equipment. (Picture a 15 bay service center with only 4 hoists and a small assortment of equipment that came from their previous building.) In the spring of 2008, the Engle Brothers opened the new Engle Automotive/building for business right as the economy experienced a massive recession! Through continuous effort, and the Lord's Blessing, they made it. Now, more than 26 years later, Mark Engle still loves the business and his family continues to maintain the business while acting as a resource for the management team of Engle Automotive.
